Battery Point Tas 7004 Battery Point is an inner city compact Hobart suburb located just 1.6 km south of the CBD. This historic port and maritime village was named after the gun battery (1818) established to protect Hobart’s coast. Battery Point is one of Hobart’s more upmarket suburbs with many elegant homes and the marvelous 16 cottages of Arthur’s Circus (1847-52).
